Grab a Frame From a Video
Player screenshots capture the window-scaled image, not the source pixels. Extracting frames directly from the file yields the full resolution the video was encoded at.
Single frame: thumbnails and covers
Enter a timestamp (hh:mm:ss) and export as JPG (sharing) or PNG (further editing, transparency workflows). Pick a stable frame — fast motion frames carry the least detail.
Batch frames: fixed intervals
When the moment is unknown or you need a set, extract one frame every N seconds — from every 10 s down to every 0.2 s. Start coarse, then densify where needed; an hour at 1 fps produces 3600 images, so mind the volume.
After extraction
Frames come out at source resolution — compress or resize before posting, or platforms will compress them for you with less care. For cutout work, feed the frame straight into background removal.
