Play a Video Backwards

Decide what reverses
Whole clip: picture and sound together — the tape-rewind sound is usually a bonus for action replays. Picture only: reverse, then mute. Audio only: use the audio reverser on a standalone file.
What reverses well
Actions with clear start and end (throw, pour, tear); no on-screen text (it mirrors); no lip-sync; 10 seconds or less hits hardest. Full-reverse is also the second half of a perfect boomerang loop: original + reversed, concatenated.
