Record Your Screen in the Browser

For a quick demo, a lecture segment or a meeting capture, a browser-based recorder skips the OBS install entirely — and the file stays on your machine.

Choose the capture scope

Full screen shows everything; a single window hides app-switching; a single tab is the cleanest for web demos. Anything with private content (chats, mail) should never use full screen.

Audio: system + microphone

System audio captures what the page plays (lecture playback, meeting audio); the microphone captures your narration. Both can run together. Note some protected apps (banking clients) cannot be captured — the system blanks them out.

During and after recording

Pause dead time instead of editing it out later. Stop from the toolbar or the browser share bar — both finish cleanly. Output is the browser-native container (webm or mp4 depending on browser); convert to H.264 mp4 for WeChat and players, then compress before sharing.
